Before I started making these carpets I had no skills relevant to making carpets other than design skills. This project is one of my favourites exactly for that reason. As part of the production I had to learn many new skills from dying wool to woodworking. Realising it's possible to learn all these new skills and the joy I had in that process gave me the confidence to think outside of my comfort zone and start building the ceramic glaze CNC.
